12 Days From Casablanca to the desert

Day 1: Casablanca – Transfer from the airport to the Hotel:

12 Days From Casablanca to the desert, Pick up at the Casablanca airport and transfer to the Hotel. Day 2: Casablanca – Chefchaouen:

After breakfast we will go to Chefchaouen, Chefchaouen as many call it, located in the only intercontinental natural park declared a biosphere nature reserve. It is a town hung on the mountain painted white and blue, populated by wise, kind and respectful people, and offers visitors beautiful urban landscapes, beautiful samples of local crafts, and peace and serenity. Day 3: Chefchaouen – Volubilis – Meknes – Fez:

After breakfast, we will go to the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis to explore the 2000-year-old ruins and get a picture of life during the Roman Empire. Lunch will be in Meknes one of the imperial cities of Morocco. After lunch, your driver will take you on a tour of Meknes, and then head to Fez, the spiritual and cultural capital of Morocco. Day 4: Fez Patrimony of Humanity:

This day we will dedicate it completely to know Fez by the hand of a local guide. Fes is the oldest imperial city in all of Morocco, it is also the most intellectual city in the kingdom. Numerous are the monuments that you can visit: Medersas (Koranic schools): Chahrij, Bouinania Attarin. Souks, Fes El-Jedid, the Karaouine Mosque (first university in the world). Day 5: Fez – Ifrane – Azrou – Erfoud – Merzouga:

From Fez we will go to the Middle Atlas, to visit Ifrane, known as the Switzerland of Africa. The next town will be Azrou “la roca”, a Berber village known for its monkeys, then arrived in Midelt. The road is followed by the Tizi Talghemt or Neck of the Camella, at 1,907 meters of altitude. The relief is impressive, the mountains are completely bare, covered in a purple coat. Day 6: Merzouga – Nomadic Families – Khamlia Village – Erg Chebbi Tour – Camel Ride – Night in Haimas:

This will be a very adventurous day where we will meet a different Morocco! With the 4 × 4 we pass in the town of Khamlia where you will stop to enjoy the music of Gnawa then we will follow the road we will cross mountains that at first glance seem hard rocks but when we walk them we will verify that it is fossilized sand that has been deposited there millions of years ago . We will practice a little trekking to get to the site where dinosaur debris is extracted. We will visit the interior of one of those excavations feeling in our skin the daily experience of the expeditionary. Along the way, in the company of an inhabitant of the small town of Bega we will enjoy the calm of the arid landscape and start playing the search for the Desert Rose. Why not? And whoever finds it will have a surprise prize! Later, along stone paths, we will circulate parallel to the border with Algeria until we reach the area where marine fossils are extracted. In a unique landscape we will have a Berber-style picnic: on one side the mountains and on the other the orange dunes of the Sahara. And to conclude our day of extreme adventure we will pass behind the dunes along little traveled roads and visit the cemetery of the French and an abandoned village from the time of the colony and leave in a caravan of dromedaries of an hour and a half that will take us to the feet of the Great Dune, covered by the beautiful desert sunset. Day 7: Merzouga – Ramilia – Tafraoute:

In the morning you will wake up early, to see how good the best sunrise of your life can be. Afterwards, we will walk in peace towards your hotel, appreciating the unique beauty of the spectacular dunes of the Erg Chebbi, which change with the light as the day progresses. After breakfast and a shower, you will leave for the town of Ramlia, a remote town in the middle of the desert. There you will meet the local people and experience the true rural Morocco, a small oasis. And there you will eat and then you will follow the road to Tafraoute a small town where we visit your nomad and accommodation in (Riad).

Day 8: Tafraoute – The todra gorges – Dades Valley:

After breakfast in our Riad by tafraouet we will head towards Rissani origin of the Alawite dynasty and first imperial city of Morocco. We will take the road to Erfoud, black stone and rich in marine fossils (if you wish, we can stop at a factory fossil) and reach the palm grove of Tafilalet. We visit the Todra Gorges and arrive at the Dades Valley and accommodation in the Dades Valley.

Day 9: Dades Valley – Boutghrar – Skoura – Ouarzazate:

After breakfast we will continue along the “Route of the Thousand Kasbahs”. We will visit the Dades Gorges, and by track we will enter the High Atlas where we can discover another way of life of the Berbers of the mountains and we will see the caves where they live as they did in the past. We will pass through the town of Boutghrar and the Valley of the Roses where its inhabitants make creams, soaps and rose water. Then we will continue to Ouarzazate passing through Skoura which is a large palm grove and the state of most of the kasbah that concentrated in that palm grove, we will make a visit, and then continue to Ouarzazate. Day 10: Ouarzazate – Ait ben haddou – Atlas Mountains – Marrakech:

There the women who run the cooperative will teach us the different processes through which the argan fruit passes and will explain the properties of this oil. Arrival in Marrakech in the afternoon. Day 11: Visit Marrakech with local guide:

Day 12: Transfer from Riyadh to Marrakech airport:
