7 Days From Fez to Marrakech Going Through the Desert, Arrive at Fez airport, pick up and transfer to the Riad. Dinner included
Once we have breakfast in the fabulous courtyard of the Riad Chifra, where Moha and Aziz will treat us like kings. I have known Moha for many years, he is originally from Erfoud, but recently he has ridden this fabulous Riad in Fez.
Then come, Hassan will come to find us the guide who will discover some of the mysteries of Fez, I prefer not to reveal anything at all to make it a surprise, but if I will tell you that Fez is the oldest imperial city and the religious and spiritual capital, in the old medina there are more
of 9,000 alleys, through which no motorized vehicle circulates. The experience will be similar to a time travel.
Once Hassan has already lost you inside the medina, you can go for a beer and listen to gnawa music at the Khamissa café in Talaa kebira, one of the main streets.
Free dinner not included and rest to face the next day.
Breakfast. Continuation of the tour, crossing the Middle Atlas mountains to Midelt destination where time for lunch will be provided. We will pass by Ifrane, which the Moroccans call the little Switzerland.
Before reaching the desert, we will go into the Ziz Valley, an extensive pallmeral that accompanies the Ziz River to the very desert.
We arrive at the Dune d’or aubergue where the dromedaries will be waiting for us to enter the desert and spend a magnificent night under the stars, in the middle of the dunes, in a camp where dinner will be served and we can listen to the percussions of the desert. Surely your camel drivers will be Adii or Hassan.
If we arrive at the desert at night, you will be taken surfing in the 4 × 4 to the camp and the next morning they will come to collect the dromedaries. Dinner included in the camp.
Once you have breakfast, either at the camp or at the Dune d’0r lodge, you will go on a mini-tour through the desert, until you reach Khamilia, a town inhabited by former Sudanese slaves, where you can listen to ancient Gnawa music from the hand of the pigeons du sable or the bambara.
Then you go to Rissani, where you can walk through the souk and even if it is market day contemplate the donkey parking.
From there you will go to Erfoud, to the Maison Bouchafrine, where Hassan will delight you with its magnificent cuisine, the Maison Bouchafrine is a very special place, it is located in the fossil area and it has been Hassan who has built that wonderful and strange place in middle of nowhere I love this place.
We have breakfast, and we go towards the route of the Kasbahs, we will stop at Tinerhir, where we will have the pleasure of contemplating one of the most beautiful places, the Todra Gorges.
We continue towards Kelaa M’Gouna town located in the Dades Valley and recognized for its cultivation of saffron and roses. For one euro you can buy spectacular rose water. Then we start the Route of the Kasbahs, name with which the fortifications made in adobe with crenellated towers and ornaments in raw brick are known.
We continue to Ouarzazate, where we will visit the Kasbah of Taourit formerly the residence of one of the most powerful governors in the region. We will also pass in front of the Moroccan film studios.
We continue towards Ksar of Ait Ben Haddou, declared a World Heritage Site by Unesco and the scene of a bunch of movies.
Accommodation and dinner included in Ait Ben Haddou.
We have breakfast and take a pleasant walk along the ksar Ait Ben Haddou.
We cross the Tizi n’Tizcka mountain pass, and arrive in Marrakech where we will stay at the Riad. Free dinner not included.
Breakfast at the Riad, then visit the city of Marrakech also known as “the Red Pearl”. Seen with a local guide who will show us the exterior of the Koutoubia Mosque, it served as a construction model for the Giralda Sevillana.

We will visit the Jardines de la Menara, the favorite place of recreation for the citizens of Marrakech. Then you will visit the Saadian Tombs and the Bahia Palace.
Afterward, and for free, you can walk inside the medina, visiting the souks and markets or you can have the experience of taking a petit taxi and going to the Majorelle gardens (gardens created by Jacques Majorelle in 1924 and it was in 1980 when Yves Saint Laurent took them as property), or another option that I personally love to do is go to the most expensive Hotel in Africa on Mamounia and sit quietly to have a glass of wine.
