8 Days from Marrakech to Merzouga Desert

Day 1: Marrakech: Arrival at Marrakech airport.

8 Days from Marrakech to Merzouga Desert, Your local guide will find you then accompany you to your hotel (depending on the arrival time). Dinner and accommodation.

Day 2: Marrakech tourist tour:

Today it can be dedicated to the visit of Marrakech, the imperial city of the South. You will visit the Koutoubia Mosque and admire its tower, the Majorelle Garden, a botanical garden with varied plants, Saadian Tombs of the 16th century; all of them decorated with colorful mosaics, Bahia Palace from the 19th century with its beautiful eastern architecture. You will have a lunch break. In the afternoon, you will have time to explore the fascinating souks and alleyways around Djemaa el-Fna square. In the afternoon, you’ll be delighted with snake charmers, singers, acrobats, dancers, storytellers and storytellers – moving from one group to another. Day 3: Marrakech »Tizi N’Tichka Pass» Ouarzazate »Aït Saoun» Agdz »Zagora

Later, we continue the route through the mountains of Aït Saoun and admire the natural rock formations of the “heart”. We will reach the small town of Agdz located at the foot of Jbel Kissane Mountain. Later you will visit the isolated Kasbah of Tamnougalt then drive along Draa Valley until you reach Zagora where you will spend the night.

Day 4: Zagora »Tamegroute» Zagora »N’kob» Tazzarine »Alnif» Rissani »Merzouga. :

After breakfast at the hotel, you will have an excursion to Tamegroute, a town in southern Morocco. You will visit the ancient library of the Koran in addition to the manufacture of ceramics. Later we will go to N’kob then to Tazzarine. You will have a lunch break then continue to Alnif “house of the trilobites”, Rissani and Merzouga. Near his hotel located at the foot of the orange dunes of Erg Chebbi. You will experience a camel ride to reach the desert field in the middle of the dunes where we will spend the night, enjoy the afternoon, dine under the stars and sleep in a Berber nomad tent.

Day 5: Merzouga desert:

Today we are going to visit nomadic people. We will visit villages around Erg Chebbi. We will sleep in a desert camp.

Day 6: Merzouga »Erfoud» Tinejdad »Tineghir» Todra Gorges »Boumalne Du Dades:
We will continue our trip to Boumalne Du Dades through Erfoud, Tinejdad and Tineghir. When you arrive in Erfoud, you may want to visit the fossil marble industry before we drive to Tinejdad afterwards to Tineghir where you can enjoy an optional lunch. You will have time to explore the Todra Gorges and walk through this wonderful place, while enjoying the views of high rock walls (up to 300 meters high in height). From here, we continue to Boumalne du Dadès passing through the center of Tineghir. Reach the Gorges of Dades. Night at a hotel located along the Dades River.

Day 7: Boumalne »Gorges of the Dades» Boutghrar »El-Kelaâ M’Gouna» Skoura »Ouarzazate:

After breakfast, you will begin your trip with a brief exploration of the Dades Gorges and see their rock formations “the human bodies, the fingers of the monkeys”. Later we will cross the Boutghrar track that leads to El-Kelaa M’Gouna. Stop to visit one of the nomadic families that live in caves, you will be introduced to family members and learn about their lifestyle while enjoying the taste of a good cup of tea. After these, we will continue our way to get to El-Kelaa M’Gouna where you can enjoy your lunch. Later, continuing on our way to Ouarzazate, while enjoying the views of the Valley of the Roses, the Valley of a thousand Kasbahs and palm grove of Skoura. You will visit the incredible Kasbah of Amerhidil located in the Skoura Oasis, where you will be mesmerized with the immense palm grove and beautiful landscape of the Atlas Mountains. Finally you reach Ouarzazate, you can admire the view of Taourirt Kasbah, built by the Glaoui dynasty. Have dinner and spend the night at the hotel or Riad.

Day 8: Ouarzazate »Aït BenHaddou» Telouet »Tizi N’Tichka Pass» Marrakech:

After breakfast, you can visit the film studios (Atlas films Studios), before heading to the town of Aït Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site where we will visit the exotic Kasbah that bears his name. This Kasbah is located on a hill along the fertile river of Ounila, it becomes famous for its role in organizing numerous films such as: The Man Who Could Reign, The Jewel of the Nile, Jesus of Nazareth, the Message, Lawrence of Arabia, the mummy, and Gladiator. Later, continuing on our way to Telouet. You will have a lunch break and then visit the incredible Kasbah of Telouet. Then we continue through the Tizi-n-Tichka pass (2260m). Making stops for photos and enjoy the panoramic views of the High Atlas mountains, along with the Berber villages located on the side of the road. Arrival in Marrakech and delayed to the airport according to the time of the flight and end of our services.
